Big Bad Wolf
Big Bad Wolf is a theatre show focused on exploring the possibilities of communication through a visual language that generates different meanings, for family audiences and the general public.
A show that combines theatre, puppet theatre, cartoons, and music. Images that sometimes float, fly, hover, and fall with all the weight of gravity, with the force of a stamp, between the absurd and the surreal, mirroring the unusual with a magnifying glass in hand. Presented without text, in a dynamic of visual comedy and a constant interconnection between the performer and the animated cartoon projection.
what the festival has to say
Mixing techniques and digital universes, between the movement of the image and the movement of the puppet-actor, there is a small distance. This show presents an intense exploration of how we view the wolf as an animal and as a metaphor, inviting the audience to demystify concepts and preconceptions.
Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas

that's how
It was an atypical start to the festival, but we know that sometimes we all have to adapt to unfortunate circumstances that affect the community and demand our respect. So Ei! kicked off on Saturday with the show “Lobo Mau” (Big Bad Wolf) by the Red Cloud Teatro de Marionetas puppet theaater company.
Without a doubt, this company has been guided by excellence in its work, where the convergence of different techniques and dimensions supports us in the certainty that the work it has developed is recognized by all. It is work that deserves to be actively followed, as it is clear that the commitment dedicated to the construction of these creations shows us an effort and dedication, undoubtedly full of precision, of a narrative that is the reflection of deep thought, and which is certainly verified in the presentation to the public. His language is contemporary, and often leads us to consider that what we see goes beyond what we observe, and we feel a constant experimentation that is combined with the exploration of new languages, the result of which is evident.
For Encontro, it is important that the proposals included in the program reflect the programmatic identity, which this year focuses on the exploration of techniques, mechanisms, mechanical dimensions, and their possible implementations on stage. It is also essential for us, as Ei!, to be able to reach a wider audience, considering the investment in training and maintaining audiences of different age groups in the same cultural proposal to be fundamental. In this way, we feel that there is a direct contribution to a community convergence in which art should be a strong ally.
